Dorian Bolca | The luminous root

Dorian Bolca is a visual artist who lives and works in Timisoara. He studies and creates possible cohabitations and collaborations between nature and technology at a conceptual and applied level through the lens of contemporary art.

The Luminous Root is part of the Higher Underground installation, which is based on the scientific concept of the Wood Wide Web, investigating the interconnectedness of trees at an underground level through roots and fungi. The work thus reveals the underground of the plant world under an innovative perspective, using technology to illustrate this biological and mystical network that usually lives beyond our gaze.
