Cătălin Crețu | Optosonic heterophones – acoustic extensions

Cătălin Crețu is a composer and multimedia artist. He has a rich creative output that includes works in various genres, from chamber music, choral and symphonic opuses to electronic music, computer-assisted music and interactive multimedia works.

Optosonic heterophones – acoustic extensions is an artistic work that questions complex hypostases of synchronicity, with a conceptual basis specific to music – heterophony. Heterophony refers to the accidental deviation from the basic melodic line when two or more voices intone the same melody. This musical concept brings to the fore the idea that, despite the initial harmony, differences and deviations can add an interesting layer of complexity and depth to musical performance.
